Tickets are $125.00 paid online. Tickets will be sold at the door but paying online makes it easier for us to budget and supply food and drink and other supplies so please register and pay online.

This is a Community of Practice event, where coffee peers share their knowledge and learn from each other. It is also a great opportunity to build friendships and become involved with the coffee community of the Southeast.

This year's SERC features a Roasting Competition! On March 4th, all registrant companies will be sent 5 lbs of a mystery green coffee to create an espresso on your own machine, then bring your best result to SERC for tasting evaluation. We will have 3 different espresso machines to test the roasts and taste your espresso through an Eversys precision system.

Loring Roasters: If you roast on a Loring, please let us know! We will have coffee on hand to see if you can replicate your roast on one of our classroom machines (Diedrich IR 2.5 and Atila 5kg). Todd Arnette of Academy of Coffee Excellence will be on hand to help facilitate the roasting activities.

First prize: A full bag of green coffee from Ally. More info on the competition once you are registered here in PACE.

FRIDAY March 22:
6:30-8:30 p.m. Meet and Greet with drinks and appetizers

SATURDAY March 23: Start time: 8:30

  • Tasting alignment for espresso roast evaluation
  • Roasting Competition: blind tasting and voting
